I've seen this one before and read an article on the results of the taggings . There's another one about the Giant Bluefin tagging season off the Carolina's . A boat would hook up and call the tagging boat . The boat with the fish would pass the line via a tennis ball and the fish would be lip gaffed and brought aboard up a special ramp on the stern of the boat . They would put a seahose in the fishes mouth , cover it's eye ,do the measuring/sampling , and plant the electronic tag releasing the fish in good shape .
