pedro-I can't beleive there still up there,I think there all there..thats still good news I'm going there this weekend.caviar-I still pick up the motors they drain for the most part, plus you don't want to have to chip ice just to lift them out. It's alot easier to chip before you lower them if we get a quick sudden freeze you dont want the boats weight pushing on the outboards against the ice.

pedro-do you know any quick methods to kill a mako?Beside gun.June will be here before we know it,where going to jump in head first and go to mako madness in june, hopfully we'll get some practice hooking up and releaseing and maybe a keeper before then. I found alot of useful info on the web but not to much on this subject.I did hear of the hammer to the head and drag it backwards. What do you think of the avet 40?or am I better off with another 30 I'm trying to find another rod/reel but I'm going to go with a avet this time.

Went south to Harvey Cedars today. Nary a bird, fish, or bait. Back to the inlet caught 3 shorts. One on a live mullet that was in a pod of them in our marina. They are nice corn cobs that are still in the bay. The other 2 were on a bucktaila buctail. Maybe tomorrow.

I did locate one #7 Croc on the Island today, It made quite a splash when it hit the water. Too bad the fish were not there to appreciate it. Good luck on the Gambler, keep the reports coming. It was cold last night, but I am staying in till the bitter end. I have to give your buddy props for fishing on these chilly nights. Must be lonely out there.

the crock does splash pretty good you can also troll with it.yea my budy is nuts he takes his kayak most of the time too,but he only goes there when it's dark and usely headed home a couple of hours later with his share.I'm sure he's lonely till the fish start hitting.there is alot of older fishermen out there I call it the holiday city spot. But the old guys know where the fish are.

The ocean was useless to me today, again. Back to the bay, caught quite a few bass including (finally) one keeper. It has been a while and lots and lots of shorts since the last one. I did take it home to eat.
