I am in a bit of a quandary choosing the right rail rod for this reel. It will run either 100 or 130LB hollow core. The choice is between the UTC CX 76 Invictus or the Cal Star GFGR-775XXXH. For a custom build, any recommendations on reel seats or guides?

Simply look at what United Composites does, that's a proper rail rod, definately state of the art built by the guy who developed the concept and turned it into reality. In terms of blank design, it's really a no brainer once you dig a bit deeper and learn how UC builds their rods, their use of carbon fiber, the carbon fiber mat that used, the 'glass that's used, noting this is a six ply blank... In terms of the rest of the build, the factory produced rod is the best on the market in terms of it's build, components, etc. I'm not hyping, I do believe most who are in the know (and far sharper than I) and are current in their product knowledge, those who don't have their own agenda would be in firm agreement. UC has the best blanks in the business at the present time.
