What I read Flouro leader sink vs Mono (not so much). If that’s true, my question is;
If I let out 70yards line for chunking tuna, because Flouro sink and obviously the bait will be deeper than Using mono line in the same situation. Will the difference in depth(the bait) affect my hook up percentage? Or it’s negligible difference in depth so I am not at disadvantage vs the guy next to me that using Mono?

I have heard the specific gravity is the same as water, but can not confirm that statement. Whether it sinks faster, more, less, whatever, in my mind irrelevant. Visibility under water was the prime goal for using FL line, not it's sink rate. That can be influenced by other factors, line diameter, a bit of lead... There are times having bait sink faster is helpful, there are times it does not. Over the course of a day's fishing, try different things.

Speaking of fluorocarbon, any feedback on using the AFW product? Thinking about using the 220# for bite leaders for these pesky Bluefin.

Hi Steve, AFW's FL lines are 100% fluorocarbon, come from Europe's largest line manufacturer in Portugal. Good product. Downside: they won't have any more until fall... We have some 175 and 300# now, but that's all we'll see thru the summer. Talked to the folks at Momoi, got similar feedback. So, what's up? Both firms mentioned that the resins used to make our fishing FL line are also used in electric car batteries. In that application they get 2 to 3 times the money for the resins. So, there's a shortage on the stuff used to make our fishing lines. FL line may become another supply issue this season...
